Architectural Manifesto in Dialogue: 1950-Present

Here is a motion poster I designed for the 'Architectural Manifesto in Dialogue: 1950s-present' course at Cornell University, inspired by Metabolism Architecture, Archigram, Super Studio, and Hassan Fathy's works.

I initially designed the poster for the event, drawing inspiration from Postmodern architecture styles, presented in an isometric perspective.

The Metabolism Movement | Kisho Kurokawa | The Nakagin Capsule Tower

The Metabolism movement in architecture, founded in Japan in the late 1950s and early 1960s, emphasizes flexible, modular designs that can adapt and evolve over time, drawing inspiration from biological processes of growth and transformation. One of its most iconic examples is the Nakagin Capsule Tower, designed by Kisho Kurokawa, which embodies the movement's vision of a dynamic, evolving built environment.

Archigram | Walking City

The bases were inspired by the pillars of Walking City of Archigram Design.

Archigram's Walking City envisions a mobile, flexible urban environment where entire cities are built on giant, self-contained structures that can move and adapt to the needs of their inhabitants.

Hassan Fathi

I drew inspiration for the intricacy and architectural form from Hassan Fathy's designs, as well as the tree in question, which follows the patterns of Hassan Fathy's projects.
